Bad Bad Men - Messed Up

by Bad Bad Men

  • Record/Vinyl

Wolf, Siebken, and Hug are BAD BAD MEN. These Omaha punk rock veterans have served time in an impressive list of bands – if you know, you know. When it comes to rock ‘n’ roll these blokes are indeed bad, bad men. The music of BAD BAD MEN features a heavy dose of rockin’ punk blues with nods to garage, new wave, noise, and good ole hard rock. Their live performances have been described as bruising, dark & pleasurable, gut-punching, and filthy, grinding punk rock.

After concocting enough songs for almost two albums, BAD BAD MEN decided to get in the recording studio to document the outcome of their hard work. Initially the sole goal was to selfishly capture the songs for themselves, and possibly release a single. However, after two days of recording with Adam Roberts at ARC, it became apparent that a full-length release was on the horizon as the songs revealed a cohesive narrative to the unstable world we all have been maneuvering through.

The result is Messed Up. Ten tracks that capture the live in-your-face rawness of BAD BAD MEN combined with a few sonic surprises. The hard-drivin’ Siebken/Hug rhythm section chugs along like a locomotive with Wolf’s sweltering guitar and growling vocals cutting through the back-beat swing. Let’s say it’s intense and grimy, but also dynamic and alluring. With songs that touch on greed, broken hearts, addictions, a fragile human race, and just fuckin' things up, Messed Up still offers a glimmer of hope. The bottom line is that BAD BAD MEN deliver the "goods" on this SPEED! NEBRASKA RECORDS release.

Messed Up, the full-length album from BAD BAD MEN mastered by the fabulous Mikey Young, launches on vinyl, CD, and digital August 25, 2023!
